Job Specifications

The City of Tallahassee Office of the Inspector General is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Senior Auditor who thrives on organization, accuracy, and service-oriented work. In this role, youll be an essential part of the Office of the Inspector Generals team, helping ensure city programs and operations run efficiently, transparently, and in the publics best interest.

What Youll Do

• Conduct audits of City programs, processes, contracts, and information technology systems to assess efficiency, effectiveness, compliance, and accountability.
• Prepare audit reports that clearly communicate findings and provide practical, well-supported recommendations for improvement.
• Present audit results to leadership and stakeholders, collaborate with management, and provide insights to support continuous improvement.

Minimum Training & Experience

• Bachelors degree in business or public administration, accounting, or a related field; AND
• Three (3) years of professional auditing, accounting, or related governmental fiscal administration experience;

OR

• High School Diploma or GED; AND
• Seven (7) years of professional auditing, accounting, or related governmental fiscal administration experience

NOTE: A CPA, CIA, CGFM, or CISA designation acquired by examination may substitute for one year of the required experience

Necessary Special Requirements

• Valid Class E State drivers license may be required at the time of appointment for any of the designated positions allocated to this class.

Salary Range

$29.0888 to $78.9348/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $53.9984/hour
