About the Role

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting aerospace parts, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and dimensional specifications within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role involves reading engineering drawings, performing visual and dimensional inspections, and maintaining accurate quality documentation to support aerospace safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect aerospace parts, components, and finished products for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measurement instruments.
• Verify parts meet required specifications and tolerances.
• Identify defects, discrepancies, and non-conforming materials.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records.
• Complete inspection reports promptly and communicate quality issues to supervisors and production personnel.
• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Follow all safety and aerospace procedures established by the company.
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace safety and quality standards during inspection activities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience inspecting aerospace parts and components.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficiency in visual and dimensional inspection techniques.
• Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measurement tools.
• Knowledge of aerospace quality standards and procedures.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to identify defects and quality discrepancies.
• Physical capability to perform inspections while lifting up to 40 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with aerospace quality management systems.
• Familiarity with inspection software or digital record-keeping tools.
• Knowledge of aerospace safety and compliance protocols.

Tools / Equipment / Systems

Calipers, micrometers, gauges, inspection reports, and quality documentation systems.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Performs inspections in a clean, organized aerospace manufacturing setting, with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and adhere to safety procedures.
