The Panther Group is seeking Inspector II (Quality / Dimensional Inspectors) to support a leading manufacturing client in Aiken, SC. This is a great opportunity to join a team focused on precision, quality, and delivering high-impact work in a production environment.

In this role, you will perform inspections on machined and welded components to ensure they meet blueprint and quality standards prior to shipment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections on machined and welded parts
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and scales
  • Interpret and inspect parts according to engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Support shop floor quality audits and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
  • Identify non-conforming materials and communicate findings to production teams
Required Qualifications
  • Experience using basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work a weekend shift (3x12 schedule)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM)
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience with weld inspection
  • Familiarity with Faro Arm, Laser Tracker, or Keyence systems
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ year of related inspection or manufacturing experience preferred

Pay up to $27.20 per hour DOE
