Location: Jeffersonville, IN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $17.00 per hour

Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wood Veneer Inspector to join our team in Jeffersonville, IN. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our wood veneer products meet quality standards before moving into production.

The Wood Veneer Inspector is responsible for examining veneer sheets for defects, imperfections, and damage, then repairing affected areas using wood putty and a hand sander. This role serves as a quality control gatekeeper by verifying veneer specifications, wood species, grain patterns, and overall product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect wood veneer sheets for defects, damage, and specification compliance.
• Identify imperfections such as knots, blemishes, grain inconsistencies, and size variations.
• Repair damaged or defective areas using wood putty and a hand sander.
• Evaluate completed work to ensure compliance with work instructions and quality standards.
• Verify veneer matches required wood species and grain patterns.
• Maintain acceptable production levels while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Understand and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Manufacturing, woodworking, or quality inspection experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to use hand tools, including a hand sander.
