Description
Inspector / Pre-Pack Laborer Position Summary: The Inspector / Pre-Pack Laborer is responsible for inspecting foam products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications while preparing finished products for packaging and shipment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and a commitment to quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:
Inspect foam products for defects, damage, and compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
Sort, count, and verify products prior to packaging.
Assemble, label, and package finished foam products according to work instructions and specifications.
Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
Report quality concerns, defects, or discrepancies to supervisors.
Perform rework or trimming of products when necessary.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Assist with material handling and other production-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous manufacturing, inspection, packaging, or warehouse experience is a plus.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documents.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, foam materials, and production equipment.
Requires prolonged standing, repetitive motions, and occasional lifting of materials and packaged products.
