Position Details:
Inspector, Quality Control - 1st shift- San Ramon, CA
Location : San Ramon, CA 94583 (On-site)
Project Duration : 06 Months of contract
Shift : 05:00 AM - 01:30 PM (Mon-Fri) - 1st shift
Pay Rate : $27.00 per hour on W2
Position Summary:
· Performs inspection and testing of purchased materials, components and products in accordance with policy and procedures.
Essential Functions:
· Performs visual, dimensional and functional inspection and testing according to documented policies and procedures.
· Records inspection and test data as prescribed by written instructions and procedures.
· Operates all associated test and measurement equipment as instructed and as documented in procedures.
· Recommends changes to policies and procedures.
· May prepare and submit change requests.
· Documents non-conformances in Non-Conforming Material Review system.
· Participates in GR&R studies as directed by engineers or technicians.
· Collects data for First Article inspections.
· Performs testing and inspection in accordance with special test requests.
· May train other Inspectors.
· Assists in gathering, analyzing, and trending of data.
Other Duties:
· Performs work of a miscellaneous nature as required.
· Support all Divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
· HS diploma required. 1-2 years of exp. desired. Basic computer skills.
· Potential to extend and/or convert for right candidate based on attendance and performance but no guarantee.
1st shift hours. This individual should be able to read and comprehend drawings & basic GD&T, experience with inspection sampling techniques (AQL Sampling) be able to perform visual, dimensional, functional inspection using basic hand tools or automated inspection equipment, operating CMM.
