Receiving inspectors monitor and inspect all incoming deliveries to ensure the quality of items and order accuracy. This includes opening boxes and personally counting and viewing all items.Responsibilities:* Inspects purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices: Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit.* Receiving inspectors note inaccurate or unacceptable orders received in the inventory system and refuse to accept these items.* Enter items received into the inventory system.* Write regular inventory reports to note all incoming and outgoing shipments.* Inspect all outgoing shipments to ensure proper packaging, address information, and item accuracy before shipments are made.* Data entry of incoming units into Quantum.* Report, update, transact, and provide information that facilitates the general repair process.* Handle any additional tasks as requested.Preferred Qualifications:* Knowledge of Quantum* Basic math skills* Good eye for detail to spot inaccuracies and poor quality in all incoming and outgoing shipment items.* Self-directed, motivated with limited supervision, solid decision making, and analytical skills.* Adaptable, flexible, and detail-oriented.* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Job Demands:Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance.
