Responsibilities
Perform installations of Smoke Guard
Perform repairs and replacement of Smoke Guard
Complete and submit daily reports and warranty work reports thoroughly and on
Participate in fire inspections, including testing equipment and providing product documentation to customers.
Responsible for any on site field coordination with other trades (ex. Coordination with electricians/superintendents detailing any power needs, or coordination with the drywall team to explain/detail unit housing needs).
Work efficiently to minimize mobilizations/windshield
Attend and actively participate in required safety trainings at SG Solutions or on project job
Notify management of issues, or potential issues, on job sites and address as
Ensure that Smoke Guard employee interactions on job sites are professional and respectful at all times and maintain good working relationships with site superintendents and other
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
Ability to gain in-depth technical knowledge of Smoke Guard products and perform troubleshooting and repair work on them.
Ability to read building specifications, blueprints, and as-
Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools and ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Ability to work under minimal supervision to complete work on time and according to quality
Ability to carry and lift heavy objects (50lbs), walk and stand for long periods of
Ability to obtain and maintain required safety
Experience
2+ years of experience as an Installer, Repair Technician, or similar role
2+ years of experience in the Construction industry
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Other Requirements
Physical- This position may work on active constructions sites or in finished buildings, must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, load and unload equipment, and safely operate a company
Current Texas driver's license and safe driving record
Regular travel within Texas (Austin & San Antonio metro areas) is required.
