    Position Objective:    

    Represent Advance Scale in wide range of subjects related to the construction aspects of the weighing systems and solutions installation industry.  Lead, drive, and prioritize various tasks involving physical labor at foundations for heavy capacity weighing equipment, especially in management of the assigned team. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OVERTIME, INCLUDING NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS AND MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR FREQUENT OVERNIGHT TRAVEL (typically lasts 3-4 nights on average).

      

    Reports to:       Owner/ Installation Manager (during training)

     

     Position Responsibilities: 

    ·         Direct team members at all levels of contract administration.

    ·         Control any number of projects at various stages of work.

    ·         Consults with customers to determine functional and spatial requirements of new truck scale or

    weighing equipment or modification, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time along with manufacturers specifications.

    ·         Plan layouts of projects and integrates customer’s requirements into unified design for customer

    review and approval

    ·         Partner with Project Manager to maintain schedule of activities and upcoming projects

    ·         Directs activities of 3-6 installation team members

    ·         Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training new employees (as needed)

    ·         Planning, assigning and directing work, including scheduling multiple jobs simultaneously

    ·         Team performance evaluations and succession planning

    ·         Addressing complaints and resolving problems

    ·         Ordering material for projects


    • Assist in the following activities:
      • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
      • Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities.
      • Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes.
      • Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed.
      • Load, unload, and identify weighing equipment and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
      • Build and position forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts.
      • Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
      • Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement.

     Qualifications: 

    ·         Ability to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation.

    ·         Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.

    ·         Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, time management, and leadership.

    ·         Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.

    ·         Ability to use extensive working knowledge of all paperwork procedures necessary to

    complete the contract documents to obtain permits and prepare for construction.

    ·         Ability to use working knowledge of all consultant work to maintain efficiencies and meet

    deadlines.

    ·         Ability to operate computer to generate and review reports including MS Office software –

    Word, Excel.

    ·         Minimum of 5 years related experience in construction industry.

     

    Physical Demands: 

    ·         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

    ·         The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach

    with hands and arms.

    ·         The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    ·         The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move

    up to 50 pounds.

    ·         Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision,

    peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

     

    Work Environment: 

    ·         Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration

    ·         Exposure to a variety of extreme conditions at office and construction job site

    ·         Frequently exposed to loud worksites

    ·         Duties are performed offsite at customer facilities and may require compliance with OSHA

    policies and the use of required safety apparatus and equipment.
