Installation Technician
Location: Columbia, MD
Pay Rate: $35-$50/hr
Job Summary
The Installation Technician installs and assists with the setup of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems on commercial construction projects. This role works closely with project teams to ensure installations are completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on MEP installation experience in commercial or industrial settings
Working knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and/or basic electrical components
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Key Responsibilities
Install and assist with the setup of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems according to project plans and specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to ensure accurate installation
Perform system checks and troubleshooting to verify functionality and code compliance
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to meet installation schedules
Follow all safety regulations and company procedures
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, clean, and working condition
Provide professional customer service while representing the company on job sites
