Job Summary Fabrication Solutions. LLC. is a highly skilled, small custom metal fabrication company located in Oakland Park, Florida. Currently, we are seeking a reliable, hardworking Installation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting, aligning, and installing prefabricated aluminum structures at various job sites. When not in the field, you will support our fabrication team with minor shop assistance duties. This position focuses strictly on field setup, structural alignment, and some shop support—no fabrication or building is required. You will work directly under an on-site supervisor who handles all client communication, allowing you to focus completely on the physical installation. Key Responsibilities
Field Installation: Safely mount, anchor, and secure prefabricated aluminum systems (such as railings, gates, and frames) at residential and commercial locations, including multi-story structural installations.
Loading & Transport: Secure aluminum products onto trucks or trailers and safely transport them to designated site locations.
Field Modifications: Perform drilling, cutting, or mechanical adjustments on-site to ensure a precise, level, and square fit.
Shop Support: Assist shop fabricators by moving raw materials, cleaning workspaces, organizing tools, and prepping metal surfaces.
Team Coordination: Take direct structural and installation instructions from the on-site supervisor.
Position Requirements
Experience: 1 to 2 years of field installation, construction, or general shop experience.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with power tools (drills, grinders, impact wrenches), lasers, levels, and anchoring hardware.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift approximately 80 lbs., work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and handle frequent bending, lifting, or climbing. Comfort working at heights on multi-story buildings is required.
Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to operate company installation vehicles.
Required Attire: Safety-toe boots and long work pants are strictly required daily for both shop and field safety.
Preferred Skills (A Plus): The ability to read architectural layouts or installation diagrams is a strong plus but not required.
