Installation Technician - Manufacturing Equipment

Location: Based in Yadkinville, NC with regional travel required
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Competitive Pay Based on Experience (Negotiable for Highly Qualified Candidates)

Join Our Team as a Manufacturing Equipment Installation Technician

Our Client is seeking a skilled Installation Technician to install, assemble, and support manufacturing machinery at customer facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy hands-on work, troubleshooting equipment, and traveling to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, set up, and commission manufacturing machinery and production equipment at customer locations.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and installation equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform mechanical assembly, alignment, adjustment, and testing of machinery.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and make necessary modifications to ensure proper operation.
  • Train customers on basic operation and maintenance procedures when required.
  • Maintain accurate service reports and installation records.
  • Follow all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and internal teams.
Travel Requirements
  • Must be willing and able to travel for customer installations.
  • Travel may include day trips, overnight travel, or assignments lasting up to one week.
  • Flexibility is essential as schedules may change based on customer needs and project timelines.
  • Company-paid travel expenses and per diem are provided for qualifying out-of-town assignments.
Qualifications
  • Experience installing, assembling, repairing, or maintaining industrial or manufacturing equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing, industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly, or equipment installation experience preferred.
