Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Installer / Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working with trucks, Jeeps, SUVs, vans, and commercial vehicles. This role is responsible for installing aftermarket accessories, equipment, and commercial upfit solutions while delivering exceptional craftsmanship, efficiency, and customer service.
The Installer / Technician plays a key role in our customers' experience by ensuring every installation is completed safely, accurately, and to the high standards Pickup Outfitters is known for.
Responsibilities
- Install truck, Jeep, SUV, van, and commercial vehicle accessories according to manufacturer specifications and Company standard
- Perform mechanical and electrical installations including lighting, hitches, suspension components, bed covers, running boards, toolboxes, storage systems, and other aftermarket products
- Read and interpret installation instructions, wiring diagrams, and work orders
- Perform quality inspections before vehicle delivery
- Protect customer vehicles throughout the installation process
- Accurately document work performed and track time as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Care for Company tools and equipment and report maintenance needs
- Work closely with the Shop Manager and teammates to keep jobs on schedule
- Participate in ongoing product and technical training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic computer skills
- Experience installing aftermarket accessories is preferred
- Electrical wiring and troubleshooting experience is a plus
- ASE certifications or related technical certifications are a plus
