Serve as the primary analytics partner for institutional teams, providing recurring and ad hoc reporting on assets, flows, pipelines, client engagement, and business performance.
Maintain expertise over institutional client master data, including hierarchies, attributes, identifiers, and data quality standards.
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
Translate complex business questions into structured analyses and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Partner with relationship managers, consultant relations, operations, and sales leadership to support business strategy, client reviews, and growth initiatives.
Collaborate with finance teams to evaluate business profitability, revenue drivers, product trends, and strategic opportunities.
Identify data quality issues, process inefficiencies, and reporting gaps, while helping drive remediation efforts.
Work alongside data engineering and technology teams to enhance data models, pipelines, and reporting infrastructure.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and client segmentation studies to support business development and marketing initiatives.
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and key business stakeholders.
Support enterprise data governance efforts by helping define and maintain data standards and best practices.
Requirements
4+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy within asset management or financial services; institutional experience preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to learn complex business processes, data structures, and reporting workflows.
Proactive, service-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, highly visible environment while collaborating across multiple teams.
Strong SQL skills.
Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Advanced Excel proficiency.
Understanding of institutional asset management concepts, including client mandates, consultant relationships, platforms, and account structures.
Experience serving as a data owner, data steward, or subject matter expert for key business datasets.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
