Requirements Qualifications Under general supervision assists the teacher in the instruction and care of students with moderate to severe disabilities, including: • Management of student behavior • Toileting needs • Record keeping • Instructional assistance • Medical care • Classroom organization • Interaction and communication with students • Support staff • Parents/guardians • Agencies
Possession of a valid and appropriate California Drivers license A current American Red Cross First Aid & CPR Certificate or equivalent Non-violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training Applied Behavioral Analysis Training Blood Borne Pathogens Training And knowledge of care of catheters, feeding tubes, tracheotomies, and colostomies, and Hickman VPShunts.
Candidate must have an AA or 2 years of college (48 units) to be considered for interview.
