Description: Instructional Aide - Special Education / Emotionally Disabled, .875 FTE

Job Summary: The IA - Special Education / ED supports the academic, behavioral, and emotional development of students with emotional and behavioral disabilities under the direction of certified staff.

This role fosters a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment through consistent behavioral interventions, individualized instructional support, and collaboration with the

school''s multidisciplinary team. The aide models appropriate behavior, promotes positive peer interactions, and ensures safe, constructive participation in both general and specialized classroom settings.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate degree preferred.

Current Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education valid in Lakota Local Schools.

Successful completion of applicable training (e.g., CPR/First Aid, Crisis Prevention Intervention as required).

Experience working with students with emotional or behavioral challenges preferred.

Working Conditions: 7 hours per day, 5 days per week and 184 days based on a school year calendar.

Per current Lakota salary schedule, starting at $18.52 per hour plus $1.50 differential per hour based on verified experience.
