Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in arts education instruction to students in a classroom or other learning environments; provide support in the planning and preparing of VAPA standard-based curriculum and VAPA disciplines. -Must have knowledge/experience/expertise in the visual and performing arts. -Provide support in planning/developing of arts education and disciplines addressed in VAPA curriculum (VAPA disciplines: dance, media arts, music, theater, and/or visual arts). -Support certified classroom teachers in communicating with parents as needed about program-related matters and/or students' progress in the arts. -Hourly working schedules of school day and/or after-school expanded learning. EDUCATION: Completion or equivalent of 12th grade education. 2+ years of experience in an art discipline domain (dance, music, media arts, theater, and/or visual arts) preferred. WORK SCHEDULE: This is a part-time position, Monday-Friday, 5 hours per day. Specific work hours will be assigned upon hire in accordance with the school s instructional schedule and operational needs.
