Instructional Assistant - Anticipated Vacancy

The Triton Regional School District is seeking interested applicants for an anticipated elementary-level Instructional Assistant vacancy to support students across various roles, including general education classrooms, special education inclusion settings, and one-on-one assignments.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate flexibility, collaboration, and a commitment to meeting students'' diverse needs. The position includes working with students with disabilities and complex medical needs, as well as providing general instructional support in PreK-6 classrooms.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing academic and behavioral support to students in inclusion and/or 1:1 settings
• Supporting instruction using various curricula
• Collaborating with classroom teachers, special educators, therapists, and school nurses
• Monitoring and documenting student progress
• Participating in team discussions when appropriate
• Implementing components of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and/or behavior plans
• Supporting smooth daily transitions and helping maintain a positive classroom environment
• Willingness to learn and support communication devices-training will be provided

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children with disabilities
• Understanding of child development
• Strong attention to detail, patience, and a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a collaborative team
