Metropolitan School District of Pike Township Job Description Instructional Assistant- In School Suspension (ISS) Location: New Augusta Public Academy North Responsibilities:

• Supervise Guided Learning (In-School-Suspension) Classroom.
• Take accurate attendance and communicate attendance to New Augusta Academy North attendance Secretary.
• Motivate/encourage students to make healthy choices.
• Assists students who need help/clarification on work assigned.
• Actively supervise students and monitor behavior during guided Learning Day.
• Effectively communicate with classroom teachers to collect and submit student assignments.
• Assists Middle School's Secretarial Staff with clerical work and assigned office tasks when the ISS room is empty.
• Collaborate with Supervisor Regarding Class-Related needs, concerns, progress
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
