Job Summary
We are looking for an Instructional Assistant in our Resource Specialist Program at Marina Village Middle School! In this role, you will work closely with our general education and specialist teachers, providing invaluable support in various instructional and non-instructional classroom tasks. As an Instructional Assistant in the RSP, your main focus will be providing personalized tutoring and assistance to students, ensuring their success. You''ll also contribute to a positive learning environment through effective behavior management strategies. Confidentiality is crucial as you assist with implementing IEP goals and safeguard student privacy. You''ll handle important administrative tasks like record-keeping, materials preparation, and progress monitoring to support classroom operations. To excel in this position, you''ll need a solid understanding of child development, behavior management, and instructional processes. Following instructions, working independently with responsibility, and collaborating effectively are essential skills. Prior experience with school-age children is desired, and holding CPR certificates would be beneficial, but not required. Adaptability to meet varying student needs is also vital. This position will start on August 12, 2026. The schedule is 6 hours per day from 7:50 AM to 2:20 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid break Monday -Friday, 193 days/ year. This includes all school and holiday breaks off, as well as earned holiday pay, vacation, and sick leave accrual.
