Instructional Assistant

The Pine Grove School is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support students across various roles, including general education classrooms, special education inclusion settings, and one-on-one assignments.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate flexibility, collaboration, and a commitment to supporting the diverse needs of students. The position will include working with students with disabilities and those with complex medical needs, as well as providing general instructional support in PreK-6 classrooms.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing academic and behavioral support to students in inclusion and/or 1:1 settings
• Supporting instruction using various curricula
• Collaborating with classroom teachers, special educators, therapists, and school nurses
• Monitoring and documenting student progress
• Participating in team discussions when appropriate
• Implementing components of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and/or behavior plans
• Supporting smooth daily transitions and helping maintain a positive classroom environment
• Willingness to learn and support communication devices-training will be provided

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children with disabilities
• Understanding of child development
• Strong attention to detail, patience, and a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a collaborative team
