We are seeking a candidate to join our team of Instructional Assistants at Summit View Elementary.
This position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the classroom teachers to assist with student learning.
- Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills.
- Supervise as needed with before and after school dismissal.
- Supervise students in lunchroom, on playground and other areas as assigned.
- Familiarize self with school PBIS (positive behavior intervention system) procedures and provide assistance and direction to students in a positive and firm manner.
- Willing to be trained to perform medical procedures such as care for diabetic students and administer Epi-pen. etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Attendance is an essential function of the position.
