Job Summary
Join our team at Rescue Elementary School as an Instructional Assistant in our TK classroom! You will help prepare our youngest students by assisting the general education or specialist teacher in instruction by performing prescriptive tutoring as well as non-instructional classroom tasks. The Instructional Assistant will also work with individual students and/or small groups on assignments and exercises determined by the teacher. Provide clerical and administrative support by keeping records, preparing materials, and/or monitoring students. This position will start on August 12th, 2026. The Instructional Assistant role offers an ideal schedule of 3.5 hours per day, Monday - Friday, the daily schedule is TBD, 193 days per year. This includes all school and holiday breaks off, as well as earned holiday pay, vacation, and sick leave accrual.

A high school diploma or the equivalent, AND a. Two years of college (48 units), OR b. A. A. degree (or higher), OR c. Pass a local (County Office of Education) assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction.
