SUMMARY
Provides academic support in various subjects for participants of the TRIO Student Support Services program. Works directly with students assisting in one-to-one, small group, and classroom settings. Monitors tracks and evaluates the learning and progress of participants to promote student success. Supports the programs objectives and initiatives as directed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Conducts one-to-one and small group tutoring in math, science, and general studies subject areas. • Diagnoses student tutorial needs • Evaluates participant progress resulting from tutoring • Assists in the development of educational action plans • Develops and implements supplemental curricula materials and instruction for basic skills courses • Conducts educational workshops • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of student progress and tutoring sessions • Works with or demonstrates various types of audio-visual materials, computer applications, and other materials or delivery systems used in an instructional program • Facilitates the learning process by conducting workshops and presentations for students enrolled in high-risk courses • Meets with faculty regarding student progress and course content materials as needed • Assists in the recruitment and retention of program students • Performs other duties as assigned.
