Start Date: September 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027

Requirements and responsibilities:

• School and grade level to be determined.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with the student, teachers, and parents.
• Positions will be a 1:1 or classroom instructional assistant.
• Ability to use and teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, visual aids, or communication devices.
• Patience and Empathy:
• Behavior Management:Ability to implement and support behavior management strategies and interventions.
• Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to the student's changing needs and learning styles. Flexibility in handling unexpected situations or changes in routine.
• Organizational Skills:Strong organizational skills to plan and implement daily activities and tasks.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation of the student's progress.
• 60 College Credits OR proof of passing the ParaPro Assessment

Administered by a NJDOE certified agency.

Pay for this position shall be in accordance with the current agreed upon collective bargaining agreement. All collective bargaining agreements are available on the District website via this link.
