LOCATION/DEPT: Assigned School / Instructional Services

REPORTS TO: Principal / Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services

FLSA Status: Exempt

Start Date: 8/3/2026; Permanent Full Time with Full Benefits

10 month, 8 hour per day position

The Instructional Coach will provide a positive impact on student achievement at assigned school sites by facilitating training and follow up for identified professional development initiatives in the form of support, modeling, coaching, and mentoring, which builds school and teacher capacity to increase student achievement.

Minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Master's degree in area of certification, preferred
  • Evidence of successfully taking on leadership roles at the school or district level over the past three years
  • Effective problem solving, planning, organization and communication skills
  • Knowledge of and experience in effective instructional strategies and research-based best practices especially in literacy, math, writing, and differentiated instruction
  • Experience in conducting professional development initiatives at the school or district level

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Provide teacher support for identified professional development initiatives in the form of

modeling, coaching, providing feedback and facilitating group discussions at the school

level

  • Facilitate training and coaching on Learning-Focused instructional framework, classroom

management, literacy strategies across the content areas, research-based math

instruction, and differentiated instruction.

  • Collaborate with principals, individual teachers and teams of teachers
  • Support the school improvement team
  • Assist with design and implementation of all building level and district level professional

development

  • Assist in the collection of data on the impact of Instructional Coach activities and student

achievement.
