Job Title: Instructional Coach DFWWageHour Status: Exempt Reports to: Director of Academics Dept.: School Academics
Position Summary: Set Schedule - single cost objective - paid 100 from Title I
The Instructional Coach provides professional development and guidance for teachers to improve their knowledge of differentiating instructional strategies and monitoring/adjusting said practices to appropriately measure student progress in the classroom.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited university
Certification and Experience: Valid Texas teachers certification Valid Texas ESL certification preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of:
Demonstrate deep knowledge of the RtI process and district documentation process Demonstrate a deep knowledge of intervention techniques and programs to accelerate skill development
Ability to use computers proficiently for:
Ability to work collaboratively Ability to model instructional techniques/strategies Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist the classroom teacher in developing systems to maintain progress monitoring records and anecdotal information in order to effectively measure student progress while participating in given interventions.
Assist the classroom teacher in implementing and analyzing the results of a variety of assessments and monitoring tools to help diagnose and prescribe individual students needs as well as monitor the progress of individual students daily and throughout the year.
Participate in purposeful planning with teachers to assist teachers in identifying and serving students in need of intervention.
Participate in all required professional development and district-level meetings.
The Title I Instructional Coach is charged with acquiring the knowledge, skills, technology skills, and instructional intervention strategies necessary to effectively impact student achievement.
Work collaboratively with district content area specialists and program directors.
Meet regularly with the school administration to keep them abreast of student progress.
Actively pursue opportunities for life-long learning and professional growth.
Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and legal/local board policies.
Other duties related to the improvement of student achievement as determined by the director.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Must reside in regional area where school campuses are located. Some travel required.
