Instructional Coach- Elementary

The Instructional Coach works with site and district administration and teachers to develop a robust educational program, analyze student data, support work with multilingual learners and special education learners, model lessons in classrooms, help teachers plan instruction, collaborate in developing system-wide policies and procedures, and facilitate and lead professional development to carry out curriculum, practices, and effective PLCs with fidelity. The Instructional Coach leads professional development and guides improvement for classroom teachers in a school building via training, observations, modeling lessons, providing feedback, and analyzing data to drive an effective Equitable, Multi-Leveled System of Support at the school site. The Instructional Coach also provides intervention instruction to small groups and one-on-one to support learner needs and improve outcomes.

• Support the instructional development of all teachers in understanding and implementing standards integration and best teaching and learning practices across subjects, common assessments, and data analysis, demonstrating the ability to both model and coach what this looks like within the 4K-5 classroom
• Gather, analyze, and track data from screener and assessments to help teachers target instruction to respond to student needs, and collaboratively identify school-wide trends
• Coordinate the student identification/ placement, and progress monitoring in the intervention programs, aligning with district and state initiatives and requirements
• Support monitoring of interventions conducted by the classroom teachers, interventionists, and paraprofessionals for fidelity, providing feedback and support tracking student progress
• Plan coaching cycles in collaboration with administration and mentorship teams
• Deliver research-based, targeted instruction to students in small group and one-on-one settings utilizing district-approved intervention programs
• Prepare and support instructional lessons for grade-level interventions using high-quality curriculum and a clear common lesson template/routines
• Maintain and report consistent, accurate student intervention and assessment records in a timely manner utilizing common templates and district platforms
• Support professional development opportunities, training, and resources to build teacher capacity to provide equitable instruction that supports the success of all students
• Collaborate with district administration and with coaches in all school levels (K-12) to ensure alignment in coaching framework, teaching, and learning

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred
• Hold a valid Wisconsin teaching license, Reading Teacher License (#316) or Reading Specialist License (#5017) preferred
• Knowledge and experience working with diverse learners
• Experience or training in coaching or mentorship preferred
• Excellence in time management, taking initiative, and follow-through
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to foster positive working relationships
• Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels (including all staff, parents, students, and community members) in a respectful manner and provide clear communication and assistance
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Expertise in instructional programs and research-based instructional strategies for elementary grades
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
