JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Instructional Coach at CREC River Street School plays a pivotal role in fostering teacher development, improving instructional practices, and supporting student achievement. This position focuses on providing individualized coaching and professional development to educators, with the potential for specialization in a designated focus area, including:
- Theme Integration in Instruction
- Math Instruction
- Literacy Instruction
- Equity in Instruction
The Instructional Coach works collaboratively with teachers, school leaders, and staff to align instructional practices with CRECs mission and vision of equity and excellence in education.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Partner with teachers to improve instructional strategies through modeling, co-teaching, observation, and feedback.
- Support teachers in implementing best practices in lesson design, classroom management, and differentiated instruction.
- Assist educators in using data to inform and adjust instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Build teacher capacity in aligning instruction with state standards and curriculum goals.
- Facilitate professional learning to foster collaboration and shared learning among staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
