ROLE DESCRIPTION
The secondary instructional coach at Greenfield High School is a non-evaluative, non-supervisory teacher position who will work with site-based content area teachers to support the effective implementation of standards-based curriculum, assessment and instruction.The secondary instructional coach provides support, including resources and feedback on the effectiveness and progress of implemented strategies. The Instructional Coach serves as a leader in enhancing instruction and improving student outcomes across all high school classrooms. The coach works collaboratively with educators, administrators, collaborative actions teams and district staff to cultivate a culture of continuous growth, and ensures access to high-quality, accessible instruction for all students. The Instructional Coach will provide targeted support through coaching cycles, modeling exemplary teaching practices and facilitating professional learning. This role requires confidentiality, commitment, a deep understanding of pedagogy, evidence of strong instructional practice and a passion for empowering educators and students to set goals, enact strategies and achieve success. The secondary instructional coach uses tools and coaching skills to provide technical assistance in the early identification of students in need of additional support to implement intervention strategies to meet student needs. The coach will also provide direct support to students in need of (Math and/or Reading) Interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience as a fully certified mathematics (400 license) and/or Reading (316) teacher at the secondary level
Valid five year math and/or reading teaching license; Master's degree preferred
Coaching knowledge, skills and dispositions
Experience in facilitating professional learning sessions at the school or district level, or significant demonstration that goes beyond working with individual teachers
