HJT1 is a 4K-8th Grade district located in Washington and Dodge Counties; 35 miles northwest of Milwaukee, 55 miles south of Oshkosh, and 60 miles northeast of Madison. The city of Hartford is in the rolling hills of the scenic Kettle Moraine with Pike Lake State Park, Holy Hill Basilica & National Shrine and Erin Hills Golf Course minutes from the city limits. We are a community of over 16,000 with strong education, and many attractions such as the Schauer Arts Center and Recreation Center, and a variety of retail stores and restaurants. Hartford is an active community with many organizations and groups uplifting the home community feel. The HJT1 District is made up of two elementary buildings and one middle school building.

HJT1 is seeking a, Limited Term, collaborative and student-centered Instructional Coach to support educators in delivering high-quality instruction and improving student outcomes. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about coaching educators, using data to drive decisions, and supporting the successful implementation of district curriculum and initiatives. The Instructional Coach will work closely with teachers and administration to strengthen instructional practices, support intervention efforts, and promote continuous improvement across the District.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current WI DPI teaching license; leadership or curriculum-related focus preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in effective instructional practices and student engagement
  • Strong understanding of assessments and data analysis
  • Ability to motivate, guide, facilitate professional development, and work well with others
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships and provide constructive feedback

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Model effective instructional practices to support teacher growth
  • Support both new and veteran teachers in strengthening instructional practices, with an emphasis on reading, English Language Arts, and mathematics
  • Assist teachers with resources, materials, and strategies to enhance lesson planning and improve student engagement and comprehension
  • Support differentiation and enrichment by assisting teachers in meeting the needs of diverse learners
  • Collaborate with administration to ensure consistent implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment aligned with district initiatives and best practices
  • Facilitate professional development to fellow teachers by developing staff members'' knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors through a variety of professional development targeted topics and designs
  • Assist the Administrator in coordinating the curriculum renewal process for all content areas PreK-8, with alignment to District adopted standards
  • Ensure the District''s PreK-8 curriculum provides students the opportunity to develop proficiency in standards across all curriculum areas
  • Work with district and building level administrators, other instructional coaches, and teachers to ensure all students have access to learning opportunities, assessment, and feedback that provides for their growth
