Randstad is seeking a skilled Instructional Designer & Business Analyst for an exciting opportunity with a premier client based in Washington, DC. In this hybrid, multi-disciplinary role, you will bridge the gap between business operations and technical solutions by capturing detailed functional requirements while simultaneously designing engaging, visual educational materials and user interface content. Operating as a key facilitator across teams, you will leverage SharePoint and modern graphics tools to transform complex workflows, use cases, and technical specifications into intuitive content management interfaces and clear knowledge-development resources for wide organizational use.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements & Process Engineering: Partner closely with business users and technical staff to define, document, and refine accurate business cases, functional/technical requirements, Visio process flows, and use cases.
• Knowledge & Content Management: Maintain, review, and update educational resources and user interface materials hosted on SharePoint and other content management systems to support organizational learning.
• Visual Communication & Instructional Design: Design graphics, visual assets, and instructional communications using graphics technology and production tools to enhance user understanding and knowledge transfer.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a clear communication bridge between non-technical stakeholders and technical development teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and system specifications.
• Interface & Material Review: Collaborate with peers to audit, enhance, and standardize UI materials, documentation, and digital assets published for broad internal distribution.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience gathering business/functional requirements, defining use cases, and creating structured business documentation.
• Instructional & Visual Design: At least 3 years of experience designing graphic-based communications, educational content, and visual learning materials.
• Technical Proficiency: Highly proficient with SharePoint administration/authoring, graphic design technologies, and graphic production processes.
• Software Competency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Visio for process mapping and presentation.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and top-tier written and verbal communication skills across both business and technical audiences.
• Industry Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in transportation operations work environments or the travel/airline industry is a strong plus.
