Job Description:
Work Location: Remote

Part-time: 25-30 hours per week
Candidates can reside anywhere in the US
Schedule: 8am-5pm (candidates does not need to be in a specific time zone but may need to adjust schedule for meetings with other teams who are in different time zones).
Possible contract-to-hire based on business needs and contractor's performance
Articulate Suite is required as well as any type of photoshop Adobe software.
Learning Management systems and platform experience is a plus!!!
AI Generated video experience is a plus!!!
Cornerstone knowledge is a bonus (as this is the new LMS that the company is switching to in May)
Candidate will need to have expertise in instructional design and hands-on development
Primarily creating eLearning, job aids and instructor lead courses
No experience ins aerospace or regulated industry preferred!!!
Success looks like being able to provide business units with the trainings needed to streamline training and making
training consistent, produce training materials in a timely fashion.
Work is not project based or specific to a project but is for the whole company.
Top Skills: Communication, leading meetings with stakeholders or requestors of specific courses, time management skills, instructional design, creating materials, AI video generation.
Interview Process- Possible 2 rounds of interview (one iwth the director and his co-worker, and the other with HR)

Instructional Designer

Job Description:
The Instructional Designer is responsible for creating engaging, effective learning experiences that support organizational goals and enhance employee performance. This role combines expertise in adult learning theory, curriculum development, and digital learning tools to design training solutions that are clear, accessible, and results driven. The Instructional Designer partners closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to translate complex information into high quality learning content.

Scope of Work:
Design end to end learning solutions, including e learning modules, instructor led training, blended learning, microlearning, and job aids.
Develop storyboards, scripts, and prototypes using instructional design best practices.
Build learning content using authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Captivate, or similar platforms.
Partner with SMEs to gather content, validate accuracy, and ensure alignment with business goals.
Facilitate design meetings, content reviews, and feedback sessions.
Apply adult learning principles, accessibility standards, and user centered design to create intuitive learning experiences.
Incorporate interactive elements, scenarios, assessments, and multimedia to enhance engagement.
Ensure all training materials meet brand, compliance, and quality standards.
Develop assessments, knowledge checks, and evaluation tools to measure learning effectiveness.
Recommend improvements to existing courses and learning programs.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
Maintain organized documentation, version control, and content repositories.
Support LMS administration tasks such as course uploads, testing, and troubleshooting when needed.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Instructional design, education or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in instructional design or related role
Minimum of 3 years of experience working within a matrixed, global organization
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
3 or more years of design experience using programs such as Adobe, Articulate, Canva, etc.
Previous experience with a Learn Management System (LMS)
Previous experience in a regulated industry (e.g., Aerospace and Defense, Manufacturing, healthcare, finance, government) is a plus.
Experience working within a large corporate environment
