Job Title: Instructional Designer, Training Curriculum Dev

Location: Oakland, CA

Pay Rate: 50 - 60/hr, W2

Duration: 6 Month Contract

Work Mode: Remote

Summary:

  • Assignment is remote with occasional onsite meetings in Oakland, CA.
  • Client laptop provided; additional equipment is supplier's responsibility.
  • Pre-determined monthly expenses for cell and internet with manager approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led learning solutions for various concepts.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content.
  • Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content, and assessments.
  • Complete detailed analysis of tasks for target audience, business process, and systems.
  • Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials.
  • Visualize instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions.
  • Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts.
  • Engage with subject matter experts for content review and validation.
  • Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines; proactively communicate issues and risks.

Requirements:

  • 3 years’ experience developing eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led training.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Articulate Storyline, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Flexibility to work on simultaneous development efforts as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of training development applications - Oracle UPK or SAP Enable Now, QuestionMark.
  • Knowledge of graphic design, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator.
