Job Summary

The Instructional Designer is part of the Enterprise Experience, Organizational Development & Learning team, supporting both UK HealthCare and the University of Kentucky. This role leads the design, development, and administration of high-quality learning experiences that support compliance, safety, and professional development across the enterprise. Primary responsibility includes the instructional design and execution of annual mandatory safety web-based trainings (WBTs), ensuring all content meets regulatory requirements and accessibility standards. The Instructional Designer also develops and implements instructional strategies for in-person training experiences, including workshops, seminars, and classroom sessions. This includes designing interactive activities and assessing learning outcomes to enhance engagement and effectiveness for both virtual and face-to-face learning environments.

This position is fully remote.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Instructional design and adult learning expertise eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate) SCORM/xAPI configuration and LMS publishing Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements (TJC, OSHA, OIG) Knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA Title II and Section 508) Strong project management and organizational skills Collaboration and consultation with SMEs and leaders

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

Master's degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, human resources, or a related field preferred. Experience with LMS administration (SuccessFactors or equivalent). Experience supporting orientation, leadership development, or large-scale enterprise learning programs. Knowledge of evaluation frameworks (Kirkpatrick model, ROI in learning, etc.).
