Description
A full-time, 9-month instructional faculty position in Accounting is available with a preferred start date of January 4, 2027, and a possible alternative start of August 4, 2027. A master's degree in Accounting is preferred; an MBA or similar degree with 18 credit hours in Accounting is required. Previous collegiate-level teaching and expertise in taxation and cost accounting is strongly preferred, with professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) being desirable. Applicants should submit copies of transcripts along with other requested documents.
The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning. Primary duties include in-person and online teaching; curriculum and course development; student academic advising; assessment of student learning; maintaining strong relationships industry partners; and participation in college-wide initiatives. Desirable candidates will possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, ability to work in teams, and be flexible to teach day or evening hours and at the College's locations, primarily Springfield and Beavercreek, as needed.
Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position, centered at the Springfield main campus, reports to the Dean of the School of Business and Applied and works closely with the Accounting program coordinator. Position will remain open until filled.
