Job Description

Department: Division of Math, Science, Information Technology, and Bachelor Programs

General Statement of Job

Leads the Division of Math, Science, Information Technology, and Bachelor Programs (MSITB) projects and other initiatives. Provides operational oversight on management and follow-up regarding MSITB grants and initiatives. Monitors the MSITB grant/project implementation of strategies and activities according to the grant requirements. Oversees the programmatic implementation and management of awarded grants and projects for the Division of Math, Science, Information Technology, and Bachelor Programs. Works collaboratively with program chairs, faculty, and staff throughout the college to lead the development and initial implementation planning of student success projects. Leads the development of proposals for program recognition and awards at the national and state level.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
  • Works collaboratively with College stakeholders to plan, review grants and other projects.
  • Works collaboratively with College and outside Stakeholders to identify and develop industry certifications, Occupational Skill Awards (OSA), certificates, and other stackable credentials.
  • Directs evaluation, monitoring of projects, and student success initiatives within the Division of Math, Science, Information Technology, and Bachelor Programs (MSITB).
  • Maintains cooperative working relations with faculty, staff, and administration college-wide and with external partners.
  • Develops monthly summary reports related to the Division of Math, Science, Information Technology, and Bachelor Programs (MSITB) active grants and special projects.
  • Develops, presents on the Division of Math, Science, Information Technology, and Bachelor Programs' initiatives at College-Wide committees, at regional, state, and national conferences.
  • Serves on College-wide committees as appropriate and as appointed by immediate supervisor.
  • Leads the Division of Math, Science, Information Technology, and Bachelor Programs (MSITB) in the development of proposals for program recognition and awards at the national and state level.
  • Reviews proposals submitted by academic departments for potential grant opportunities.
  • Supports the Division of Math, Science, Information Technology, and Bachelor Programs (MSITB) with various educational initiatives.
  • Leads the Division of Math, Science, Information Technology, and Bachelor Programs (MSITB) as principal liaison with the Department of Resource Development, Management and Compliance and Academic Affairs.
  • Serves as the primary division liaison with Public Relations and Marketing to oversee PR/Marketing project initiatives and communications.
  • Serves as the primary point-of-contact for the initial collaborative planning of grants and special projects for the Division of Math, Science, Information Technology, and Bachelor Programs (MSITB).
  • Monitors grant funded programs in the Division of Math, Science, Information Technology, and Bachelor Programs (MSITB).
  • Oversees the implementation, and management of grants and special projects for the Division of Math, Science, Information Technology, and Bachelor Programs (MSITB).
