Job Description:

The Instructional Product Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering training, enablement, and educational programs that support the adoption and successful utilization of Sentera’s drone, software, and analytics solutions. This role translates complex technical capabilities into clear, customer-focused messaging and training materials that empower sales teams, partners, customers, and key accounts. Working closely with engineering, product management, and marketing teams, the Instructional Product Specialist designs and delivers scalable training programs, onboarding resources, presentations, instructional videos, and demonstration content. The role also supports field operations by conducting on-site product demonstrations, capturing real-world use cases, and transforming technical information into actionable learning resources that drive customer confidence and product adoption. Through a combination of training, content development, and customer engagement, the Instructional Product Specialist plays a critical role in accelerating sales effectiveness, enhancing customer success, and supporting the continued growth of Sentera’s hardware and software businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Create and lead training sessions for sales teams, dealers, partners, and customers on Sentera’s drone, software, and analytics solutions.
  • Create Educational Content: Develop presentations, onboarding materials, instructional guides, and video-based learning resources that support product adoption and utilization.
  • Translate Technical Concepts into Customer Value: Simplify complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling messaging tailored to a variety of audiences.
  • Conduct Product Demonstrations: Support sales and marketing initiatives through on-site demonstrations and training events for key accounts and strategic prospects.
  • Capture and Document Best Practices: Record field demonstrations and customer use cases, converting them into scalable training materials and sales enablement content.
  • Support Product Launches and Adoption: Develop training and enablement resources for new products, features, and technology releases to ensure successful market adoption.
  • Other job duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experiences:

  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-focused training content.
  • Training and instructional content development experience, including presentations, guides, and video-based learning.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to build credibility with customers, dealers, sales teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • 3 years of experience in training, sales enablement, customer education, instructional design, product support, or a related role.
  • Experience developing and delivering instructor-led and virtual training programs.
  • Experience creating customer-facing educational content, onboarding materials, and product documentation.
  • Experience conducting product demonstrations, customer presentations, or field-based training.
  • Part 107 certification or experience operating drones in a professional environment.

Desired / Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in precision agriculture, drone technology, remote sensing, or ag-tech.
  • Knowledge of crop scouting, agronomic workflows, and digital agriculture solutions.
  • Experience creating instructional video content and multimedia training resources.

Major Purpose

  • Leads the tactical development and delivery for various training programs to channel partners, Company personnel, and customers.

  • Training programs include, but are not limited to products, services, and/or professional skills with heavy emphasis on product features, applications, and product system technologies. Mentors less-experienced Instructors.

Major Duties

  • Review existing operations in own area of work and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure continuous improvements are delivered.
  • Contribute to the management of partnering relationships with internal clients, building effective working relationships and providing high-quality professional services to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
  • Engage with team or department line managers to clarify short-term priorities for learning and development (L&D) interventions; gather relevant data on performance and current levels of competence; identify gaps in relation to required levels and obtain agreement on required outcomes.
  • Identify product training needs and develop, design, and evaluate content for product training courses in specific functional areas to fill gaps in established programs; run complex and/or customized product training courses to improve employee performance within specific functional area.
  • Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
  • Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance; or monitor the performance of the team, allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality, and contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.
  • Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines.
