Instructional Services Coordinator Senior Specially Funded

The Instructional Services Coordinator Sr. supervises assigned personnel and coordinates, analyzes, and evaluates Community Development professional learning for staff in the Rio Salado College Adult Education (AE) program, aligning efforts with Arizona Department of Education initiatives and the annual Professional Learning Implementation Plan. These programs serve AE students pursuing a High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma or greater English proficiency, transitioning from noncredit instruction into credit career training and college coursework.

Reporting to the Instructional Services Director, this position leads professional learning models across in-person and virtual locations - identifying needs, planning sessions, coordinating with locations and leadership, supporting curriculum pilots and technology adoption (including the responsible integration of artificial intelligence [AI] tools into instruction, coaching, and student support), monitoring participants, and analyzing feedback. As a subject-matter expert in instructional coaching, the Coordinator Sr. guides best practices, partnership strategies, and learning design to strengthen teaching - including building instructor capacity and fluency in AI-enabled tools and workflows, and evaluating emerging technologies for their potential to enhance adult education outcomes.

Essential Functions

35% - Collaborates with program leadership to identify professional learning needs; plans, coordinates, and facilitates program-wide and location-specific professional learning aligned with Arizona Adult Education Content and Teaching Standards, state/federal grant initiatives, evidence-based practices, and the programs annual Professional Learning Implementation Plan, leading the implementation and expansion of these models across in-person and virtual locations to improve instructional quality and learner outcomes.

25% - Serves as a subject-matter expert in instructional coaching, guiding instructional teams on best practices, curriculum pilots and delivery, and the adoption of new technologies-including artificial intelligence (AI), classroom, and emerging technologies-along with professional learning design and location partnership strategies to enhance teaching and foster continuous learning across modalities.

20% - Supervises assigned personnel and coordinates cross-functional collaboration with Rio Salado adult education locations and program leadership; monitors professional learning participants with Instructional Directors to support teams implementing approved curriculum and initiatives and strengthen teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

20% - Schedules, analyzes, and reports on professional learning feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and inform future sessions; drafts detailed written reports summarizing outcomes, trends, and recommendations for both leadership and the Arizona Department of Education; maintains accurate records and documentation to support ongoing program reporting requirements.
