Works in a highly collaborative and highly engaged environment. Collaborates with Administration of Justice Studies and Paralegal adjunct faculty, Educational Service Partner (ESP) instructors located at Valley police academies and law enforcement agencies, Dual Enrollment instructors, and public safety partners to ensure MCCCD competencies align with industry needs. Mentors, trains, and evaluates Adjunct Faculty to promote student success. Engages in outreach and recruitment, and uses data to monitor and improve engagement, persistence and retention.Essential Functions30% – Serves as point of contact for adjunct faculty and students in the Administration of Justice Studies/Public Safety Administration/Paralegal department for curriculum questions and course issues30% – Serves as liaison between public safety partners and the college by maintaining regular communication with the public safety training coordinators, attending stakeholder meetings, promoting class offerings, scheduling advanced officer training, and coordinating annual public safety advisory committees15% – Works closely with faculty, educational service partnership team, and others on initiatives, program changes, public safety degree promotion, and other projects15% – Oversees the work of content specialists in course development of criminal justice courses to ensure content and assessments are aligned and meet program learning outcomes10% – Assists the faculty chair with onboarding and evaluations of criminal justice adjunct, ESP, and dual enrollment instructors; performs other related duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, organizational development or directly related field and two years of related experience in program coordination and consultation that includes planning, development, and/or implementing program projects and activities in the area of assignment. A Master's Degree may be required for some assignmentsAn equivalent combination of the conferring degree and directly related full‑time work experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the jobDesired QualificationsMeets MCCCD academic teaching requirements in one of the disciplines serving Rio Salado College's Administration of Justice Studies (Criminal Justice, Paralegal, Legal Studies, Public Safety Administration, etc.)Experience teaching college‑level online classesExperience working with educational service partners and dual enrollment programsExperience working within Public Safety programs (Law Enforcement, Corrections, Detention, Fire Science or Paralegal)Experience in the design, development, evaluation, and revision of online instructional material and assessments for the departmentExperience training, mentoring, and evaluating staff including designing appropriate staff development activitiesExperience working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environmentEffective written communication skills (Application materials will be reviewed in this area)One year of full‑time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two yearsSpecial Working ConditionsTravel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense.
