Primary Purpose:
Provide direct academic support services to identified students. Work cooperatively with instructional personnel to provide leadership, support, classroom modeling, coaching, and staff development to teachers in related subject-area. Provides coaching and support to classroom teachers to ensure the student growth. Work with students individually and in small groups, bringing them up to grade level reading and/or math standards.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Master's degree or in process of completing master's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- 3 years of teaching experience required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of curriculum, curriculum design and implementation and instruction
- Knowledge of intervention instructional strategies and best practices
- Ability to instruct students and manage behavior
- Ability to interact positively with students, parents, and educators
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to provide intervention support to at-risk students and support classroom teaching
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
