Job Location: El Paso, Texas (On Site)

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm. Occasional flexibility is required on evenings and weekends.
FLSA status: Exempt

Position Summary
The Multimedia Communications Specialist supports the development, production, and distribution of multimedia content that advances instructional, academic, and institutional engagement initiatives. This position creates and edits video, audio, photography, podcast, social media, and digital communication content to effectively engage diverse audiences and promote organizational priorities. Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and cross-functional teams, the incumbent assists with multimedia project planning, production coordination, digital storytelling, content strategy, and media asset management. The position also supports the maintenance of media production resources, contributes to digital engagement efforts, and helps foster innovative, accessible, and audience-focused communication solutions that align with the mission and goals of InSPIRE and the institution.
Supports the development, production, editing, and distribution of multimedia content including video, podcasts, social media content, and digital communications that support instructional, academic, and institutional engagement initiatives.
Produces and edits video, audio, photography, and digital media content using professional media production and editing tools for instructional, promotional, and engagement-focused projects.
Collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and cross-functional team members to develop effective digital storytelling and communication strategies across multiple media platforms.
Assists with multimedia project planning, production coordination, scripting support, interview preparation, content organization, and media asset management for instructional and institutional communication initiatives.
Assists with organization, maintenance, research, and management of professional media equipment, production tools, and related digital resources used for multimedia and instructional communication projects.
Supports development of digital communication strategies that enhance student engagement, faculty outreach, and visibility of instructional, academic, and institutional initiatives.
Contributes to podcasting, social media, multimedia communication, and digital engagement efforts aligned with InSPIRE's mission and institutional priorities.
Collaborates across disciplines and departments to support accessible, audience-focused, and visually engaging digital communication initiatives.
Supports coordination and prioritization of multimedia production workflows in a collaborative and evolving environment with changing instructional, institutional, and communication needs.
Assists with mentoring, training, and supporting student employees and collaborative team members involved in multimedia and digital communication projects.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
Proficiency with Adobe Suite, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree.
and
Experience: Two years of related experience informing, advising, and assisting in the assessment, management, and production of instructional objects and activities in either technological or non-technological environments; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with Adobe Suite, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. Knowledge of professional video, audio, photography, and digital media editing software required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Uses creativity, adaptability, collaborative problem-solving, and effective communication skills to support a wide range of instructional, academic, and institutional initiatives. Knowledge of digital communication platforms, social media tools, podcasting workflows, and multimedia content management practices preferred.
