About the Position

The position will teach eight undergraduate courses in the academic year, with four in the fall semester and four in the spring semester, including lower and upper-level courses such as Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations, and provide some service duties associated with the departments undergraduate degree. This is a state-funded, full-time, 9-month instructional, non-tenure-track faculty position with the option of additional summer teaching opportunities. The position is renewable, contingent upon satisfactory performance.

Responsibilities

Instruction

  • Teaches eight undergraduate courses with four in the fall semester and four in the spring semester, lower and upper-level, each semester, such as Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations.
  • Service Including but not limited to: Coordinate courses Mentor students Serve on departmental committees

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in mathematical sciences, mathematics education, or a closely related field
  • Experience teaching mathematics in a university setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in mathematical sciences, mathematics education, or a closely related field, or expect to receive one by Summer 2026
  • Demonstrated experience and interest in inquiry-based learning, active learning, and/or other interactive classroom instructional models
  • Demonstrated experience with course design and/or curriculum development
  • Experience providing organized leadership in an educational or professional setting
  • Experience in group-based teaching methods
  • Experience teaching in multiple instructional modalities, in-person, hybrid, and online
  • Experience mentoring undergraduate students, including advising or research supervision
