Job Title: DIVISION OF LIBERAL ARTS - Instructor/Assistant Professor of Music

Location: Mayville State University, Mayville, ND

Compensation: Hiring Range - $43,907 - $52,688

Position Details: 9-month; full-time

Position Description: The Division of Liberal Arts at Mayville State University is seeking applicants for an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Music.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teaching of essential studies music course
• Directing concert choir and band
• Teaching classes related to the music minor
• Working with the Fine Arts series

Required Competencies:

• Demonstrated public speaking abilities
• Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, oral and written
• Grading preparation
• Presentation of materials
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and be self-motivated

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Music or 18 hours of graduate credit in the discipline.
• Some experience in both instrumental and choral areas
• Experience working on a variety of fundraising activities

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in Music
• Teaching experience at the university level of both instrumental and choral areas
