EXPERIENCED COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR 
FULL-TIME POSITION
Tuesday - Saturday (Saturdays are alternated by other instructors) 
8:30 AM - 5:30 PM 


We are looking for a highly experienced, versatile, organized, well-rounded, and dependable Cosmetology Instructor who can take ownership of the classroom, students, and clinic floor. This position requires someone who can teach, mentor, lead, organize, delegate, assist clients, and handle front-desk responsibilities while maintaining a professional, clean school environment.

QUALIFICATIONS


• Current California Cosmetology License
• 10+ years of hands-on cosmetology experience required
• Strong knowledge of all hair types and textures
• Advanced knowledge of hair color, lightening, toning, and color correction
• Strong haircutting and hairstyling skills
• Knowledge of chemical services and hair treatments
• Knowledge of skin care, facials, waxing, makeup, manicuring, and pedicuring within the cosmetology scope of practice
• Strong client consultation and customer-service skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong organizational and classroom-management abilities


INSTRUCTOR & LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES


• Teach theory and hands-on practical skills
• Perform demonstrations and supervise student services
• Provide one-on-one mentoring and coaching to students
• Manage the classroom and maintain a productive learning environment
• Supervise and manage the clinic floor
• Conduct professional client consultations and help match services with student skill levels
• Delegate responsibilities and daily assignments to students
• Monitor student performance, professionalism, attendance, and progress
• Provide constructive feedback and hold students accountable
• Assist with reception/front-desk duties when needed
• Help with client scheduling, check-in, communication, and customer service
• Maintain an organized classroom, clinic floor, dispensary, and work areas
• Ensure stations and common areas are cleaned and properly sanitized during and before the end of the day
• Monitor sanitation and disinfection procedures throughout the day
• Make sure students clean up after themselves and properly maintain their stations
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily clinic-floor procedures
• Work as part of the school team and step in wherever assistance is needed


CLEANLINESS & ORGANIZATION ARE VERY IMPORTANT


We are looking for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
The instructor should notice what needs to be done without always being asked and lead students by example.
This person must be comfortable delegating responsibilities, following up, and holding students accountable for keeping the classroom and clinic floor clean, organized, sanitary, and professional.
