Job Summary
State Fire Rescue Training Area 15/BCTC is seeking qualified and motivated candidates for the position of EMS-Paramedic Instructor.
Job Duties:
The EMS Paramedic Instructor must participate in all aspects of the program, including, but not limited to:
Participate in the administration, organization, and supervision of the educational program
Continuous quality review and improvement of the educational program
Participate in long range planning and ongoing development of the program
Effectiveness of the program, including instruction and faculty, with systems in place to demonstrate the effectiveness of the program
Cooperative involvement with the EMS team.
Participate in the orientation/training and supervision of clinical and field internship preceptors
Effectiveness and quality of fulfillment of responsibilities
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree and minimum of five (5) years certified or licensed as a Paramedic.
Provide documentation that two (2) years of the five (5) years’ experience required is experience providing care with an EMS organization that complies with the requirements.
Be knowledgeable about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards and evidenced-informed clinical practice.
Provide proof of completion of a KBEMS approved EMS educator course that meets the objectives of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and possess a valid KBEMS Level III Instructor certification.
