    Description

    SUMMARY:

    Fire Sprinkler Apprenticeship Instructors are responsible for establishing a community of learning and rigor for our sprinkler fitters. Our teachers work collaboratively with students, colleagues, employers, and administrators to ensure each student has mastered the necessary skills they need to become a successful individual in and out of the workplace. Which includes training, documentation, audits, and reporting. Provide enhanced and robust training for field employees to make certain they are well-trained and well-supported to provide the best quality work. Assess the effectiveness of training by evaluating the performance of field employees. Coordinate training, and competency testing and provide hands-on support in the field to ensure success through multi-modality training.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinates and conducts classroom training for "fire protection industry" training to both management and hourly team members
    • Assist in the selection of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
    • Coordinates and conducts behavioral safety training
    • Develop and implement training documentation changes and signage
    • Documents and communicates property damage reports
    • PC literate to include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to interpret and carry out instructions
    • Ability to organize and conduct training classes for audiences at all levels of the organization
    • Ability to develop and proof training materials
    • Proven presentation and facilitation skills
    • Ability to write reports and correspondence
    • Must have well-rounded knowledge of NFPA 13 standards
    • Reliable and predictable attendance is required for the function of this job*
