Should we have an opening and be interested in pursuing your application, we will contact you with specific information.Position SummaryThe Office of Internationalization offers three courses connected to study abroad, INTZ 2501, INTZ 2502 and INTZ 2503. This course, INTZ 2502 Global Citizenship in Practice, is generally offered Fall and Winter quarters. This course is taught online and in an asynchronous modality. This position includes preparing for and teaching at least 1 course per academic year for the Office of Internationalization.Essential FunctionsPreparing for and teaching 1 course per academic year for the Office of Internationalization.Grading assignmentsBeing available for Office HoursCoordinating with fellow instructorsAttend weekly faculty meetings and quarterly debriefsAssisting with learning outcome assessment -Attend professional development opportunities.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDemonstrated ability to teach in affective learning environments utilizing an interactive classroomExperience working on issues of identity, intercultural communication or global citizenshipWillingness to engage in interdisciplinary approachesDemonstrated ability to engage in various modes of learning deliveryOpenness to modeling self-reflectionAbility to teach in a highly structured format used across sectionsAbility to effectively teach online in an asynchronous formatRequired QualificationsMA in International Education or a related fieldor an MA in another field and significant work related to International EducationPreferred QualificationsPost-MA coursework, PhD or equivalent in a field related to international educationExperience teaching on issues of identity, intercultural communication or global citizenshipSignificant experience abroadAbility to speak, read and write at least one language other than EnglishExperience teaching in the course INTZ 2501Work ScheduleVaries with class scheduleWhile the Universitys administrative offices are open Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas.
