Our client is seeking a fully remote, field-based Field Services and Training Specialist - Lineman with a project-driven schedule that requires travel, variable hours based on project and customer needs, and occasional assignments in post-storm recovery environments, with flexibility between projects. This will be a 1099 contracting assignment.
You'll travel throughout the US serving as an expert for utility customers installing our equipment. You'll lead hands-on field training, demonstrate safe installation techniques, and answer technical questions from experienced crews. You'll also be consulting on best practices, conducting field research, collecting data for product improvements, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance training programs and installation methods.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Preferred qualifications include completing a lineworker apprenticeship or related college program, training or mentoring fellow linemen, developing technical documentation, providing customer-facing support, and supporting transmission, distribution, substation, or utility infrastructure projects.
We will cover the required liability insurance and full travel expenses, including rental cars when needed.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with eight or more years of relevant experience, preferably with a lineman background, certification, or equivalent field experience. Someone interested in consulting or flexible contract work could be a good fit.
