Help prepare the technicians who keep Frontier flying
As an Instructor — Maintenance Training, you’ll combine your aircraft maintenance experience with your ability to teach, coach and develop others.
You’ll develop and deliver technical and regulatory training for Frontier maintenance technicians, engineers and maintenance station partners — including Airbus A320 systems training, engine run and taxi instruction, recurrent compliance training and hands-on OJT.
Your work helps ensure the people maintaining Frontier aircraft have the knowledge, qualifications and current training they need to perform safely and in accordance with FAA and Frontier standards.

What you’ll do
Deliver technical aircraft maintenance training
- Deliver formal Airbus aircraft-specific Airframe, Powerplant, Avionics and Systems courses for technicians, engineers and maintenance station vendors.
- Provide required recurrent and regulatory training, including Winter Operations, Taxi and Run-up Training, Hazardous Materials, Required Inspection Item (RII) and Policies and Procedures.
- Provide formal on-the-job training to maintenance technicians.
- Use ACT Suite training tools for formal classroom instruction.
- Use Flight Training Devices and the Airbus A320 simulator for engine run and taxi instruction.
- Deliver training in a variety of environments — from formal classrooms to individual, hands-on floor instruction.
Develop and strengthen training programs
- Develop course materials that meet applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and Frontier standards.
- Write, edit and recommend new or updated training materials to management.
- Apply your knowledge of aircraft systems, technical operations and regulatory requirements to support effective technical instruction.
- Help ensure department personnel — including yourself — remain properly trained, qualified and current to perform assigned tasks.
Keep training records accurate and current
- Maintain paper and electronic mechanic training records to reflect completed training.
- Audit FMIS training entries for accuracy and completion.
- Add new business partners and employees to the Learning Management System.
- Add new outstation mechanics and Fuel TTT employees to FMIS.
- Assist students with LMS technical issues.
Support safety and risk management
- Manage, monitor and coordinate assigned Safety Management System activities.
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance and integration of SMS throughout Frontier.
- Identify hazards and support safety risk assessments, including change management.
- Monitor the effectiveness of safety risk controls and promote safety through training activities.
- Advise the accountable executive on SMS performance and opportunities for improvement as directed.
- Maintain accountability for safety performance related to assigned responsibilities.
- Manage risk to an acceptable level of green or lower, as defined by Frontier’s company risk matrix.
What you’ll bring
Required qualifications
- Five years of aviation line or hangar maintenance experience.
- FAA A&P license and/or FCC Radio license; field/military experience.*
- Three years of experience in classroom instruction and/or an adult-learning environment.
- Strong understanding of aircraft system operations.
- Knowledge and experience in airline technical operations.
- Technical knowledge of electronic, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Moderate to advanced computer skills, including database and spreadsheet applications and PowerPoint.
- Strong organization, communication and instructional skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Three years of Airbus A320 aircraft experience.
- FAA-certificated Ground Instructor.

This role works across office, classroom and field environments and gives you the opportunity to work directly with the people performing aircraft maintenance across Frontier’s operation.
The position includes:
- Frequent travel throughout Frontier’s route system.
- Training in formal classroom settings and one-on-one field environments.
- Occasional off-shift assignments.
- Occasional outdoor instruction.
- Light physical activity, including handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
